Hope you all had a good time during Christmas and New year and did find some time to make new creative work.
The "Angels Contest" is closed now and we will announce the winners hopefully at the end of this week.
The "Show me your best" Contest is still open and you can participate until the 15th of this month.
A lot of you posted their best of 2014, but it would be nice to see some more entries!!

We have made some changes regarding the featured-Folder. The folder is now open for all members. You can submit 1of your works per month to it.
At the end of the month, we will move them to a new folder (think we call it "featured old" or something like that), so the original folder won't get overcrowded!!
This way you all, have the oppertunity to get your work a little bit more exposure.

About stockphoto's

We all like to make photomanipulations and to make them we need stock. Can be photo's, graphics, 3d, vector, premade of precut stuff.
A lot of stock can be found here on DA  and we all know that some stocks might be stolen and that some websites where stock can be found are not accepted
by this group. We want to change this rule a bit and now will also accept stocks used from freeimages.com  ( formerly sxc.hu) and pixabay.com.  Especially pixabay is a
website where you can find nice and good stock. We will not accept stocks from imgur and lenagold.ru and ofcourse no googlesearch.

If you are not sure about your stocks or maybe you have stock from closed DA-accounts that you used than you can link to this: ( by )
It's a disclaimer that you can't be held responsible for using  stock (even when it is illegal). Think it's a good thing, because there are so many things to find on the web.

Photoshop Tutorials

I  (Ed), have spent some time during christmas looking for cool photoshop-techniques which are easy to follow and will increase your skills. I confess that i also learn from them!!
As i already stated in other posts, this group has a helpdesk-function and although most of you  don't need help, i will be trying to help you become better and faster in making photomanipulations.

So here some interesting tutorials from youtube:

Hope this first selection of tutorials will interest you and improve your skills. I know it can be hard to follow if you are just beginning with photoshop, but the first and last of the three videos are things you can benefit from in the future!!
